Regular planning meetings are held at the Center on the second Friday of each month at 1pm.  Dori can be reached at 610-398-0142.

Events: July 2017 (Revised 6/27/17)

Tuesday, June 27:  Fun and Games session, 2-3:30 p.m. at LVAL room 102.  Come and play some games.  Bring what you have and we’ll decide what to play: Telestration, Five Crowns, Scrabble, Dominoes, etc.  It’s not about winning; it’s about having fun.  Prior lunch to be determined.

Wednesday, June 28:  The second LVAL noon movie this month is “Elsa and Fred,” a drama/romance set in New Orleans starring Shirley MacLaine as a feisty retiree and Christopher Plummer as an uptight widower.   Members $2.00, non-members $4.00.  An ice cream sundae is included.

Sunday, July 9: The Sigal Museum of the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society is home to significant collections of artifacts from pre-European settlers, decorative arts, textiles, farming implements and colonial furniture.  Located at 342 Northampton Street in Easton, it is within one block from the municipal parking garage and the recently opened Easton Public Market and is surrounded by many restaurants and small shops.  Museum hours on Sunday are 12-4 and we will meet at 1:00 p.m.  Admission for seniors is $5.00.  From Rte.22, take the 4th St. exit (last exit before bridge to NJ).  Continue on 4th St. two blocks, turn left on Northampton, 2nd building on the right.  For the municipal parking garage ($3.00/hr.) behind the museum, circle the block to the entrance at S.3rd and Pine Sts.  Meters on the street are 25 cents/15 minutes and take credit cards.  RSVP to Dori well in advance if you plan to attend or want to car pool.

Wednesday, July 12:  The noon movie at LVAL is “The Whole Truth,” a  drama/thriller starring Keanu Reeves as a defense attorney who tries to get an acquittal for his teen-age client accused of murdering his father.  Members $2.00, non-members $4.00.  An ice cream sundae is included.
